Deltabit were recommended to Cheniere to assist in setting up their UK headquarters in London. We were appointed to manage the complete set up of their London office from sourcing the building in Brook Street, Mayfair through to the management of the office fit-out and subsequent support and maintenance of the entire office.

The challenge

The specification of the project was complex with elaborate interior design, premium materials and state of the art IT and audio visual and communications equipment. There were long lead items that had to be sourced and procured early to meet the project time frames.
Cheniere’s head office and design team were based in Houston, Texas and there was limited opportunity for face-to-face meetings. There were a small number of staff working in temporary offices in Grosvenor Street who were keen to open the new office as quickly as possible.

The solution

In order to source the materials, Deltabit had to react quickly to meet design requirements and implement an efficient procurement schedule and procedures. We engaged with Cheniere’s interior designers (DMJM Rottet) ensuring that the exacting design and specification was met throughout the project.

As Cheniere had no representation in the UK, Deltabit acted on their behalf for all negotiations with the landlord, Westminster Council and various service providers.

Cheniere’s new office is located in a conservation area within Mayfair, and consequently, installing an aerial and an outdoor air conditioning unit meant that Deltabit had to apply for permissions from Westminster and the landlord, providing detailed drawings and technical specifications.

Working closely with Cheniere throughout the project, Deltabit acquired a thorough understanding of their specific business requirements which has resulted in us continuing to provide ongoing support and maintenance of their office, IT and facilities.
